After spending time selecting and preparing my photographs, I was finally ready to submit my first contributions to the WordPress Photo Directory. This was an exciting milestone because it marked the beginning of my active participation in the project.

As I started uploading my images, I learned that the Photo Directory allows contributors to have up to five photographs waiting for moderation at the same time. This encouraged me to carefully choose my strongest images before submitting them, since I would need to wait for the review process before uploading additional photographs.

Once I completed my first batch of five submissions, the waiting period began. Although I felt confident about the quality of my photographs, I also understood that every image would be reviewed according to the project’s quality standards. At this stage, I did not know which photos would be accepted or whether I would need to improve and resubmit some of them.
